In March, 3rd Newport Pagnell Scout Group ran a community coffee morning to raise money for our Beavers and Cubs to go attend a Gulliver’s sleepover. Despite the snow, we had an excellent turnout and lots of parents chipped in to help by providing us with delicious cakes to sell. The first cake to sell out was a homemade coffee cake which I have to thank one of the Cub parents for making – it was delicious! Our coffee morning was a great family success many of the children who attended took part in our Easter Egg drawing competition and I can happily say that the winners were a super piece of art. We have another coffee morning coming up on the 6th of May between 10 and 12 in our Scout Hall which is within Middleton Swimming Pool’s carpark and we would love to see as many of you there as possible as it is going towards a great opportunity for the Beavers and Cubs. All the money raised goes to this trip and it’s a great opportunity for you to have a coffee and a catch up with your friend or to bring your children to a family-friendly environment. P.S we also sell tea and juice too if you’re not a fan of coffee! I want to thank all the parents and helpers at our last coffee morning and hope to see many more of you attend our next one in May!
