It has been said, in quiet corners, that as a District we need to improve communications with our volunteers across the patch.

With that in mind Jason Raggett and Stuart Ball reinvigorated the District Newsletter platform.

Recent newsletters have gone out to MKscouts Office365 addresses, but as we know that's not a universally used platform, so we've taken the decision to import your Compass correspondence email address to the Newsletter Engine to ensure you receive important District communications, like the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

These are considered internal communications and may not be opted out of.

They may contain information about:

• District or County Scouting Events
• Training availability
• District News
• News from Groups around the District
• New District Services
• Volunteering opportunities
• Reminders from County/HQ newsletters
• Quarries Availability Updates

They will not contain information about:

• Resource Centre Sales/Offers
• Scout Adventures Sales/Offers
• Quarries Sales/Offers
• 3rd Party Sales/Offers

These will have different lists you can opt-in to, as they would be considered Marketing Communications.

Once a month we'll update the list from Compass, if you do leave between updates, please let us know through the Support Desk and we'll remove you from the Internal Distribution lists.

Both Jason, myself (Stuart Ball) and Stuart Bailey hope you will understand and appreciate efforts to improve communications and information sharing from the District Team. We also want to share News from the Groups & Units, so you know what everyone else has been upto.
