I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderfully damp start to the week.

Last night after a discussion with the District Commissioner, and it was agreed that the Scout night hike that was planned for this Saturday, should be postponed until the new year.

This outcome was reached after considering a number of factors, largely the poor weather forecast for the week. Where large parts of the route are covered by flood plains, it would not be safe to continue. With little time for alternative routes to be sensibly planned, pre-walked and checked, unfortunately postponement is our only option at this time.

The current proposed new dates for the event are the 4th and 5th of February 2023, though these are not final.
