Milton Keynes Scouts are thrilled to announce the eight young people chosen to represent the district at two once-in-a-lifetime international experiences in 2027 – the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland and the Bucks Grand Tour.
Following a challenging and inspiring selection weekend at The Quarries in October, 28 Scouts and Explorers from across the district were put through their paces in a series of activities, interviews and teamwork challenges. Every participant demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm, cooperation and determination, making the final decision incredibly tough for the independent assessor panel and its team of observers.
Independent assessors and observers scored teamwork, communication and Scouting skills across applications, activity observations and interviews.
Mike Gibson, 14–24 Lead for Milton Keynes Scouts, said:
“The observer panel was blown away by all the young people who attended the weekend. We are incredibly proud of them all for showing themselves and the district at its best. The standard was unbelievably high and choosing just eight was one of the hardest jobs we’ve had. If you didn’t get selected this time, please don’t be disheartened – there are so many exciting opportunities ahead, including international and UK-based camps such as Revolution 2026 on the Isle of Wight, Bucks Scout Carnival 2026, and the Essex International Jamboree in 2028. Every one of you should feel proud of what you achieved.”
Our 2027 International Representatives
We’re proud to share our 2027 international representatives and a little information about each. (Listed alphabetically by first name)

Dylan – World Scout Jamboree, Poland 2027
Dylan impressed everyone with his determination and humour, taking part in the selection weekend with a fractured arm but never letting it hold him back. A beekeeper of five years, he also plays guitar and dodgeball, and speaks several languages including French, Spanish, Mandarin and Italian. Dylan hopes to use the Jamboree to connect with Scouts from around the world, learn about different cultures and show younger Scouts what’s possible through Scouting.

Freya – World Scout Jamboree, Poland 2027
A natural leader and team player, Freya balances football, swimming, police cadets and lifeguard training with volunteering as a Beaver Young Leader. She’s also a prefect and a nursery play leader at school. Freya is excited to represent Milton Keynes and the UK internationally, ready to step out of her comfort zone and help others feel included and confident along the way.

Gabriel – World Scout Jamboree, Poland 2027
A talented cellist and member of the MK Youth Orchestra, Gabriel is also one of the Mayor’s Cadets for the district. A lifelong Scout and Young Leader, he’s fluent in German and thrives on encouraging others. His calm leadership and thoughtful support for others stood out during the selection process. Gabriel hopes to use his experience to inspire younger Scouts to take part in future international opportunities.

George – Bucks Grand Tour 2027
George is known for his kindness, humour and community spirit. A passionate baker and volunteer with The Parks Trust, he often cooks for his Explorer group and leaders on camp. Having never left the UK before, he’s eager to explore Europe and see new cultures first-hand. George’s love of teamwork, young leadership and his practical skills will make him a valued member of the Bucks Grand Tour contingent.

Jonny – World Scout Jamboree, Poland 2027
Jonny has been a Beaver, Cub and Scout for seven years and was the first Scout in his group to earn the Chief Scout Gold Award. A creative all-rounder, he loves rugby, art, robotics and music, and volunteers with younger Scouts. His confidence, teamwork and quiet determination shone through during the selection weekend. Jonny can’t wait to meet Scouts from around the world and build friendships that last a lifetime.

Natasza – Bucks Grand Tour 2027
Fluent in Polish and passionate about performing arts, sailing and street dance, Natasza’s creativity and enthusiasm impressed the assessors. She’s achieved her RYA Youth Sailing Stages 1–3 and brings positivity, resilience and leadership potential to the team. This will be her first international Scouting experience and she’s looking forward to meeting new people and taking on fresh challenges.

Oscar – Bucks Grand Tour 2027
A budding journalist and photographer, Oscar has a strong interest in storytelling and plans to document his adventure through articles and photos. He has a love of art, music and world culture, and hopes to learn about the different ways Scouting is practised around the globe. His curiosity, empathy and sense of humour will make him a brilliant team member on the Grand Tour.

Polly – Bucks Grand Tour 2027
A confident performer with a passion for singing, dancing and acting, Polly has already wowed audiences at the Essex International Jamboree and Revolution on the Isle of Wight. She’s completed all her Young Leader training and has a real flair for communication, research and organisation. Polly is excited to follow in her brother’s footsteps (a previous Grand Tour participant) and make unforgettable memories of her own.
Each of these young people has shown exceptional teamwork, leadership and Scouting spirit. They now begin their preparation journey alongside others from across Buckinghamshire, building towards their adventures in 2027.
