Scout Network & Fellowship…

The Scout Network is the final section of the Scouting movement.

From the time of Baden-Powell, there have been arrangements for young people who wanted to continue after their time in the Scout section, and in 1967, Venture Scouts were formed from the existing Senior Scout and Rover Scout sections. During the late 1990s it was decided that, to meet the changing needs of young people, there should be two sections for the over-14s: Explorer Scouts for 14 to 18-year-olds, and the Scout Network for 18 to 25s.

Whether you’re completely new to Scouts or have been with us since you were 5 years old, joining is a great way to meet new people, seek out new challenges and see the world. Because being a grown up shouldn’t mean you have to miss out on all the fun!

What Network wear

Network members wear a stone shirt or blouse, with an added Scout Network uniform badge. If they like, they can also wear the nationwide UK Scout Network scarf or their local District Scout Network scarf (known as a necker).

If you’re part of a District Scout Network then you’ll need to speak to your District 14-24 Team Leader to find out if there’s a District Scout Network scarf available.

You can purchase uniform from the shop at The Quarries, open Saturdays 10am to 4pm.

Here’s where to sew on those badges…
