We are proud to have sent 10 young people off to the World Scout Jamboree on 20th July. They were picked up at 3:30am by the coach and made their way to Heathrow for the flight to New York. The international adventure started with a few days of sight seeing in New York where they visited the Empire State Building and the Big Apple to name just a few. These days were a real test in the blistering heat but they all had an awesome time.
They they started to make their journey to Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia where they will spend 12 days with 45.000 other scouts from all over the world.
The Opening Ceremony was awesome with a visit from Chief Scout Bear Grylls and also ended with a fabulous drone light show.
