Harry and Seth have recently been presented with their Chief Scout Bronze awards, which is the highest award that a Beaver Scout can earn.

They have continued to work hard on the tasks even during the lockdown period. Here are just some of the new activities that the Young People have learnt.

Pinecone bird feeders, Scarecrow building, Quidditch, Healthy body and mind, and Climbing.

Both Seth and Harry have also attended a virtual camp at home with over 100 other beavers across the county of bucks. Making dens and sleeping in them at home and cooking plus various other pirate activities.

They have also learnt new skills whilst working towards this award like emergency aid and learning how to ride a bike plus lots more. We pride our selves on delivering Skills for Life in scouting and Harry and Seth have certainly learnt a lot from this hard work and determination.

Community has also been at the top of the agenda by taking part in a litter picking activity also exploring Newport Pagnell.

Dawn (Beaver Storm) said: “The Beaver team at 1st Crownhill are extremely proud of Harry and Seth for the work they put in both before and especially during lockdown to complete their Bronze award. We have had to find new ways to complete some of the tasks, both came up with fantastic games to play online and they both took part in the doorstep promise renewal. It has been amazing to see how Scouts, Cubs and Beavers up and down the country have continued to take part in the programme despite the varying levels of limitations we have had over the last year. Harry and Seth are a great example to our younger Beavers and deserve the recognition this award brings.
